The focus of this foundation level drawing course is on perception, learning to see the subject & objects in space and translating the surrounding reality with line & shading. Exercises & assignments focus on volume, perspective, proportion and composition as a way to translate what is seen onto the two dimensional surface. Students work with the model, still life and natural surroundings. This course is designed to prepare students for future drawing courses where they begin to look at how form and content work together.
