PERSPECTIVE CLASSES
Perspective drawing is a technique to create the linear illusion of depth. As objects get further away from the viewer they appear to decrease in size at a constant rate.
Topics Covered
Horizon Line; Point of View; Vanishing Point; Convergence Lines.
In linear perspective, there are 4 major types of perspective defined by the number of primary Vanishing Points lying on the Horizon Line:1-point perspective, 2-point perspective, 3-point perspective, and Multi-point perspective, parallel, angular and Ariel perspective
One Point Perspective
One-point perspective is a drawing technique that creates the illusion of depth by depicting objects as they appear to recede into the distance, converging toward a single vanishing point on the horizon line. This method is particularly useful for drawing scenes where the front face of an object is directly facing the viewer, such as roads, railways, or hallways, making them look three-dimensional and realistic on a flat drawing surface.
Two Point Perspective
Two-point perspective is a drawing technique used to create the illusion of depth and dimension on a flat surface. It involves using two vanishing points on the horizon line, which represent the points where parallel lines appear to converge as they recede into the distance. This method is commonly used in architectural drawings and interior designs to depict realistic spatial relationships and structures. In this workshop, you will learn various techniques and exercises to master two-point perspective, enabling you to accurately render both interior and exterior scenes with depth and realism.
